Kailash Manasarovar Luxury Tour by Helicopter
The Kailash Manasarovar Luxury Tour 11 Days is a sacred journey to one of the most revered spiritual destinations on earth — Holy Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Considered the ultimate pilgrimage site for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers, this journey is believed to wash away sins and bless devotees with spiritual enlightenment. Thousands of pilgrims travel each year to receive blessings from Lord Shiva at this mystical mountain.
For those seeking a comfortable and time-efficient pilgrimage, the 10 Days Kailash Manasarovar Luxury Tour by Helicopter is the perfect choice. This tour is designed for spiritual seekers who prefer convenience, safety, and a luxurious travel experience while maintaining the sanctity of the yatra. The helicopter route significantly reduces travel time and avoids the long and arduous overland journey via the Kodari highway.
Route Overview: Helicopter Journey to Kailash Manasarovar
The luxury helicopter yatra to Kailash Manasarovar starts either from Kathmandu, Nepal or Lucknow, India. Travelers choosing the Kathmandu route first take a scheduled flight to Nepalgunj, a bustling town near the Indian border. From there, the journey continues with an early morning domestic flight to Simikot, a gateway to the remote Humla region of Nepal.
After completing immigration formalities in Simikot, travelers board a scenic helicopter ride to Hilsa, the Nepal–Tibet border. Since helicopters are not allowed to land within Tibetan territory, pilgrims must walk approximately 25 minutes across the border to meet their luxury vehicles arranged for the Tibetan side. The journey then proceeds to Taklakot (Purang) — a vibrant town located in the Ngari Prefecture of Tibet.
Acclimatization and Journey to Holy Lake Manasarovar
One night is spent in Taklakot for acclimatization to prepare pilgrims for the high-altitude journey ahead. This extra rest day is crucial for adjusting to the elevated Tibetan plateau and ensures a safe and comfortable pilgrimage.
After acclimatization, travelers embark on a scenic 200 km drive through the majestic Himalayan landscape to reach the sacred Manasarovar Lake — a spiritual highlight of the Kailash Manasarovar Luxury Tour. The turquoise waters of the lake, set against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kailash, offer a tranquil setting for meditation, rituals, and holy dips believed to purify the soul.
Significance of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar
Mount Kailash is considered the abode of Lord Shiva in Hinduism, the central axis of the universe in Buddhism, and a spiritual symbol of enlightenment in Jain and Bon traditions. The parikrama or circumambulation around Mount Kailash is believed to bring eternal blessings and liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
Lake Manasarovar, located at 4,590 meters, is equally sacred. Taking a holy dip in its waters is believed to cleanse sins committed over a hundred lifetimes. The serene ambiance and divine presence make this destination a once-in-a-lifetime experience for every pilgrim.
